Rain in Punjab Brings Relief from Heat; More Showers Expected




Lahore, Pakistan – The city experienced heavy rain in Lahore today, providing much relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in Punjab over the next 24 hours.



The rain began early in the morning and continued intermittently until noon, affecting several areas in the city. According to Wasa’s rainfall data, Tajpura received the highest rainfall at 115 mm, followed by Karim Park, Ravi Road, and Bhatti Gate with 99 mm each. Other recordings included Aik Moriya Pull (98 mm), Lakshmi Chowk, GPO, Railway Station, Empress Road, and Cooper Road (94 mm each), Rasool Park and Shama Road (75 mm), and Johar Town (35 mm).



Lahore recorded a maximum temperature of 34°C. However Dalbandin remained the hottest place in the country at 46°C. The rain in Lahore has lowered temperatures, offering respite to residents. More rain is expected in the region, keeping the weather pleasant.
